You are demonstrating the way to expedite the supply chain processes through a “Collaborative Design Platform”. Are tools for collaborative design mature?

Tools are very much mature but mindsets of human being are still in stone age!!

Tools allowed us to work collaboratively are everywhere now such as Windchill, Smarteam, even with open source “Aras”. These tool allow us to design a new product together with customers, vendors through Prove-of-Concept fast prototyping design, efficient communication through on-line 3D graphic discussion, documents management (versions control for sure), approve processes through workflow… etc. These boost the productivity of the enterprise by pushing new products to reach the market as early as it could be and accelerate their entire life cycles. Yes, it’s called PLM (Product Life Cycle Management). It’s a lethal weapon for an enterprise to have.
With tools for collaborative design implemented, it built a basic foundation for us to further construct linkages among DCOR, SCOR and CCOR which present the entire enterprise’s infrastructure from design, manufacture to customers services.

Enterprise rely heavily on PLM: Foxcomm, Asus, Primax…
Enterprise not using PLM (mindsets still in stone age): …???

Now, choices are on your hand ?!!
